The Ricasoli Residence Florence and our sister accommodation, the Hotel Palazzo Ricasoli, occupy the site of the former residence of the Ricasoli family – a noble Florentine family dating back to at least the 12th century. The property dates back to the 16th century and once upon a time was annexed to the ancient city walls. This gives us some idea of the choice location of this luxurious Florence accommodation – tranquillity and relaxation just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant yet cosy city.

To give you an idea of space, a ten minute walk brings you to Piazza del Duomo and the commercial, geographical and spiritual centre of downtown Firenze. Then again, we would say that wouldn’t we? Alternatively, a taxi from Florence Airport should cost no more than about €15. Our address is Via Mantellate 2 but we also have an entrance on Via Lavagnini at number 11A which may be more accessible. Print out the map above to help you.

If you prefer a more economical route there are regular shuttle buses into Santa Maria Novella Train Station from the airport. The walk from the Train Station is about 10-15 minutes or a taxi ride of less than €10.

By car

On entering the city head toward the centre (“Centro”) until you see signs for Via S. Lavagnini. The Ricasoli Residence has an entrance on Via Lavagnini at number 11A. Secure private parking is available within the property for €20 per day.
